Location

Central city, and across the road from the main Skycity complex, including all its restaurants and casino outlets. There is an air-bridge between The Grand and the main Skycity complex. The hotel has two street entrances, the main entrance and lobby is 90 Federal Street, the other entrance is Albert Street.

Rooms

The Executive suite consists of a bedroom with King size bed (twin beds are available), a separate lounge with dining area and office area. The bathrooms are spacious and have separate shower unit and large bathtub. There is also an additional guest bathroom. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully furnished. The hotel opened in April 2005, so all rooms are new and up to date. Suites are located on the upper floors.

Restaurant

There is one fine dining restaurant called Dine- by Peter Gordon. The breakfast restaurant called, The Terrace. Within two minutes walk of the Skycity Grand hotel there is five other restaurant outlets in the main Skycity complex.

Exterior

The hotel is newly built of steel and glass. The lower floors of the hotel are the SkyCity conference centre facilities, including one room with a thousand person capacity.

Lobby

A large and grand lobby with marble like classical columns and a full service bar. There is plenty of comfortable seating throughout the lobby area.

General

A fantastic addition to Auckland hotels. Opened in April 2005. The Skycity Grand has quickly become a landmark in the city and provides top quality accommodation and services with some of the best dining in the city.SE0908
