Location

The hotel is situated in the heart of Bloomsbury, opposite Russell Square underground station with its excellent connections to all parts of London. It is within walking distance of the British Museum, and many of London's top theatres. It is also close to Covent Garden and Oxford Street.

Rooms

Ambassador rooms are large and in excellent condition, having recently undergone renovation. The AMBASSADOR rooms are more classical in style and are also more spacious than the standard rooms.

Restaurant

Recently renovated, the main restaurant is a fabulous feature of the hotel being a large airy room with a wealth of period features. There is also a large bar which has a very traditional 'club' atmosphere.

Exterior

The facade of the hotel is a good example of ornate red brick Victorian renaissance architecture.

Lobby

The medium sized lobby area with its main marbled staircase, ornate coved ceiling and gold detailing creates an air of historical elegance and is a great focal point of the hotel.

General

One of London's oldest purpose built hotels, it is ideal for all types of travellers, the lobby being of particular interest. (02/08)
