Location

The hotel is a short walk from the waterfront, approximately 15 minutes walk from parliament square.

Rooms

The rooms in the newly-built executive tower are large and in exceptional condition as are the bathrooms. The rooms are decorated in a pale beige and warm yellow colour scheme with high quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. Their huge windows command fabulous views over the city and either out to sea and towards the magnificent peak of mount Esja or inland towards the distance hills and mountains of the Highlands.

Restaurant

There is a large group restaurant on the ground floor next to a more intimate bar and bistro.

Exterior

The hotel has a very modern facade with red and grey wall panelling and is fortunate to be surrounded by grassy areas. The building resembles an apartment block but nevertheless is certainly not an eye-sore. The brand new executive tower is a state of the art glass and steel structure next to the more traditional (but still modern) original hotel building.

Lobby

The lobby is large in size and modern in design with natural lighting streaming through the glass atrium. There is a pleasant relaxed feel throughout.

General

This is a high class hotel, superbly furnished and with an international atmosphere. These upgraded rooms are more sophisticated than the standard rooms and most offer better views.
