Location

The Cosmopolitan is one of the oldest Hotels in Leeds, formerly known as The Golden Lion Hotel for over 100 years and is situated in the centre of Leeds, close to the main shopping area and convenient to the main railway station (2 minute walk).

Rooms

All of the 89 rooms are medium to large in size, and are decorated in soft muted shades. Facilities include en-suite Bathroom, hairdryer, trouser press, and hospitality tray.

Restaurant

The Wharf Brasserie is the Cosmopolitan's restaurant and meals are available at breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The Wharf Brassiere has an excellent local reputation for good cuisine at affordable prices. The Wharf bar serves food and beverages throughout the day and has a large screen television.

Exterior

The hotel dates back to the 18th century. It has been carefully restored to its original splendour.

Lobby

The lobby is medium in size and is decorated with wood panelling and marble floors. There is a small seating area, with a coffee table.

General

The Cosmopolitan Hotel has been constantly up graded and refurbished with modern decor and facilities to keep pace with the modern traveller and is thus a very good vlaue city centre hotel. Free wireless broadband is available in all public areas and guest bedrooms. (GW 05/2009)
